It may be our first time, but why does this debut from ex-Shods guitarist Aaronoff feel so instantly, wonderfully familiar? Because Aaronoff, whose old band made no secret of its fondness for the Brit Punk holy trinity of the Clash, Elvis Costello, and the Jam, has whipped up a lorry-load of Mod-pop gems that recall the cream of that era's crop. If only Elvis still made this kind of record.
